You have been hired as a travel agent to design travel packages to interested travellers. Your particular clients are children in years 5/6 at St Thomas the Apostle Primary School Kambah. Your clients are 2 children travelling together for 10 days (that means 9 nights for accomodation).   They have a budget of $500.00 a day.  What would children like to see and do in Indonesia? What part of Indonesia would children prefer to see? Children like to come and see you because you are an expert in the field, with lots of information at your fingertips through the World Wide Web (www). You need to show your commitment to your job and create a memorable trip for your clients.

Your client does not like to read endless amounts of information and so your need to approach him/her in a creativeway. They are after all much like you, a member of the MTV generation. The client will need a detailed list to act as an itinery including dates of travel, associated tours, day tours, places of interest, shopping malls, great buys, cultural exhibets, etc. But to earn their respect, you must demonstrate your knowledge of Indonesia and your commitment to giving them the best holiday possible for their money. So here's what you're being paid to do:-

What have you learned about Indonesia that you didn't really know before?  In what ways has this project helped you to understand the culture and lifestyles of the Indonesian people?  Do you think you have a better understanding of these things than you did before you partook in this WebQuest?

As you can see Indonesia has a wide and diverse culture such as ours and there are many things you can do over there that you could over here in Australia.  But there are also many differences too.   Hopefully you have found lots of interesting things about the similarities and differences between their culture and ours.
